The Infamous Day
A gorgeous Hawaiian day,
the inhabitants quietly resting.
On the beaches they lay,
in the sky the Japanese were jesting.
Japanese pilots dotted the sky,
as they prepared for battle.
Ready to die,
their hands begin to shake and rattle.
The first bombs drop,
the battleship goes down.
Time seems to stop,
the unfortunate sailors drown.
Americans become filled with rage,
Their anger is impossible to gauge.
