Daydream
I struggle to walk through the massive halls
Trying to count those glossy grey tiles
School reminded me of a teeming mall
One that stretched on for an extra mile
I made it to class with some time to spare
And found my mind drifting to yester year
Last summer was fun, you were always there
But now I question, where are you my dear?
I miss your smile and I miss you laugh
Your doctor's words forever ring clearly
That day he left open a gaping gash
One that is now recovering merely
My daydream it seems took a hold of me
And made it so utterly hard to see
