Forever
We held hands and kissed in the halls
Stayed up late making sleepy phonecalls
Admiring the other for hours on hand
Telling people they just don't understand
The love we had was eternal
I know because I wrote it in my journal
But something happened and you grew dark
We stopped kissing, and that was just the start
Phone calls dropped, admiring ceased too
And when we weren't holding hands, all I thought of was you
We moved apart like trees when they grow
I couldn't believe it, but inside I know
what we had was special for sure
Because you were the drug and I was the cure
I see you and her but don't say 'hi'
My heart can't stand it, I'd rather just die
But I have one thing to say, and it will forever be true
Whether we're apart or together, I'll always love you
