If life was as sweet as candy

then the game of life
would be easily won

But life isn't sweet its bitter and cold
with some periods of sour and blizzard
its all about falling and getting back up
its about where your going and how fast
and whether you have enough
strength to carry on

We all choose th paths we walk
but do we get to choose th shoes we wear
we choose th songs we sing
but do we get to choose th words
We get to choose the key
but does it open up the door

Our dreams are better
than the life we lead
so why does reality
and the facts of life
keep us from our dreams
and fulfilling our life's goal?
