The Color of Silence
Left alone here
In such perfect isolation
Furiously scribbling, scrawling
Such concentration.
These napkins are wearing thin
By my aggressive erasing.
But my notepad's on the floor
..And you thought you were lazy.
Your parting words, what
Nonsensical equations.
I hardly listened, what
Terrible vibrations.
You don't seem to understand
That I don't seem to care.
But seeming's only seeming..
When seeing isn't really seeing
At all.
You're walking away and I don't mind
We've both got better places to be
And better things to do
Better people to see
And better people to see.
