Dark masses
suddenly take shape
as dusk turns to night.
The wind whistles and screams,
and monsters emerge
from in between branches.
Shadows stretching their withering
fingers,
attempt to seize their victims.
Defeated by the light,
the empty threats
slowly melt into the
rising sun.
