ding a bell
next a drum
then a voice
electric hum
next a tap
then a whoosh
maybe a slap
on a tush
sounds collide
then divide
stir them up
hear them die
then a pause
still as glass
then the brass bell
dings at last
slowly slowly
smooth then fast
the sounds increase
and settle alas
building up
the great sound Titans
at the peak
a symphony heightens.

This is my ode to progressive rock, and describes the building up of various sounds to make a full blown piece of music. The french/indie rock band called Phoenix inspired me to write this piece with their epic progressive song, "Love Like a Sunset Part 1." I highly encourage you all to check out this fantastic band.
