Beautiful You Broken Me
She didn't know a heart could break in so many ways-
It finds a new place almost every single day.
She hates you and loves you and so many other things.
She dreads each new day with the uncertainty it brings.
(They all want to scoff at it and tell her it's only a phase, ignoring that her heart has been destroyed and razed.)
You coward; you liar! You ruin and deceive!
You ran away like a child when she started to believe.
You couldn't handle her spirit, the truth of her soul;
you only felt your own shallow need for control.
(No one could conceive that she would be so naive in the way she perceived your twisted reprieve.)
Your heart is all shriveled, it's barely even there.
You pushed her fragile heart to the brink of complete despair.
Other people control you like a puppet on a string;
they wouldn't care about the misery that together you bring.
(Don’t deny the truth of this sordid affair, now you're over the edge, it's beyond all repair.)
She wants the words of this rhyme to cut and destroy you,
Ruin you so all the other little girls can't enjoy you.
She hopes she can make you regret the way you left her to bleed
Show you how cruel it was of you to lie and mislead
(an innocent girl, lost all of her joy to you, are you happy that now she's the one who will destroy you?)
Refrain from her presence, don't invalidate
the burning that's inside you, let your heart accelerate.
She'd beautiful, isn't she? Even through her tears.
Now that you've stolen her soul, she seems quite austere.
But that's just on the outside, on the inside you see,
a fire is raging that could devour the sea.
(It may seem rather severe, but you're so insincere)
You know that you'll wish that you had me someday.
