I heard you.
I heard your voice in the distance,
but no amount of pleads could have
 made me turn around.

I heard you call out my name,
just in time for that first tear
 to fall upon my cheek.

I heard you in the distance,
but I would have never let
 you see.

I heard you say you're sorry,
but it only caused me more
 pain.

 I heard my heart beating,
 just for you.

 I heard my mind screaming,
 screaming to turn around.

There was nothing I could do,
 but keep on moving forward.

 I heard you..
 and I wish I hadn't.
