True Colors
Every day for six years, we walked from school together
But the when the weather weathered
You sought shelter
The shinny wagon caught your eye
An hoodwinked you, upon a ride
You became mesmerized
You left me to walk home, alone
And my heart then was ripped with tongs
But I knew it wouldn’t be long
Unlit the shinny wagon caught soot
And then you were caught a moot
So that you came back to walk
