Consume some with me.

Inside us, a hungry beast.

That for just a small fee,

Can finally feast.

Let’s wait another year,

Anticipating all the action.

Sometimes with fear,

That you won’t get your reaction

Consume, consume, consume

Don’t bother to stop and confer.

Together we build the tomb

Of the intellectual philosopher.

I’m so tired of being fed

All this pointless media

Would you rather cut off your head

Then read a ten-page encyclopedia?

Let’s create

Let’s make

Instead of waiting to update

Get off the couch, and make sure to partake

This is your life

This is our day

The world can change without a knife

Just don’t always obey

I was upset about how much our society values media, and so I wrote this poem.
