rush- don’t walk
hustle past the firefly, neon lights
and through the grand silver subway
just glance- don’t stare
no time to waste
here in my big city
Smell the solemn smoke
sniff the sweet nut stands on the street
and the flower kiosks on the sidewalks
quick- don’t delay
not a second to spare
here in my busy city
fly , now- don’t float
feel the wind as you dash by
stroke the greasy riverside rail
and the green grass in Central Park
don't linger- just notice
run, run, run
in the hustle and bustle
of my New York City
