You are sewn, stained, frayed.
You cling to me.
You plead for my body.
You listen in on my every word.
You stroll every step not giving me room.
You are stolid even at the sight of sleet.
You combat the thorns as an unwelcome Lancelot.
You are unkempt, unruly, and overly persistent.
But I can’t.
No matter how hard I try.
I can’t.
I can’t refuse you.
You are.
My dungarees.
My blue jeans.
And this drawer.
My drawer.
