When You Remember…
When you remember
What do you think about?
You forgot to pick up the milk
Or maybe
Baking sugar cookies with mom
Even that time
When you got your first dog
But do you ever think
About those who gave their lives
Just so you can be free
And not live in fear
They may not have known you
They may not have been your closest friends
But that made no difference
They died alone in Battle
Just so you, a stranger, could live free today
So when some one says Remember
Take a moment
And think of them
