Reality
This is a poem to reality,
Whom I need to learn to appreciate,
Whose presence is all I have and
Has made me realize that dreams
Are just dreams unless one makes
Them true.
This is a poem to me, because
It’s me the one that will stand there
In my last moments, and gaze through
These eyes of fear pretending it not to be real, and
Realize that dreams were all I wanted, while reality
Was all I had, I want to live and love and remember.
That which was once true and real.
This is a poem to my life, to my reality,
And to my dreams, for it is all that I will
One day have, and in those last moments,
Will become part of my past.
