Stealthily
Cecelia sat in the tree all day,
sitting and singing,
playing pretend spies.
no one notices, and no one cares
about Cecelia’s life of espionage,
but secretly, stealthily she watches.
She slid out of the tree
and landed on her feet softly
with her knees bent slightly
with one hand up, Balancing herself.
with her hand raised high,
as a banner to her silent falling technique.
She stood stealthily and rubbed
the dry wood dust from her hand
which suddenly felt sticky and grimy.
