Shadow Steps
Flower bed with no flowers
A gate holding me captive
Inside I sat
Looking at the millions of ants
Circling the moist spilled juice
The shadows sat there
Until the sun slowly moved them right
Windy
Sunny
Dry, yet warm
The sunlight; not blocked
"So you cant call me anymore?"
He said, "Guess you forgot about me"
Snap
Snap
Two pictures taken
Replying slowly
"I call at times, but there's no answer
should I be blamed for your neglect?"
Chocolate;
Sticky fingers
Frustrated!
Our eyes glanced at each other
Seconds later
The shadow
B L E W
Away the irritation
No attention on finishing the conversation
Click
Click
"Bout time a great one"
Down I placed the camera
The squeaky gate closed
He continued
Drifting
Floating
Along the shadow lines
