Quiet dawns upon us
as the universe lays still
beauty rests upon its shelf
and to see there is nothing else
only time, frozen in place
and staring at its fall from grace
to taste the mist and dew amiss
and watch it go and sail adrift
now dusk turns into dawn
animals and humans spawn
and the universe is kept abreast
waiting again, for its rest
