A False Hope
A False Hope
Nature works miracles daily
I’m so sad I did not get a share.
For years I’ve had but one hope
Of you and me in the middle of nowhere
Loving and caring for each other.
Some hopes are just meant
To be nothing but a wish
That will never come true.
No words can ever explain
To you that your hurting
Is, to me, a greater pain.
And your well-being
Is, to me, a greater reward.
That the person that you are
Is the greatest gift I’ll ever receive.
Some hearts are broken
And shattered into pieces.
What could have been us
Is nothing but a mere wish
That would never find its way
Into the clouds of the heavens above
So that we could be given such a day
When you and I are blissfully in love.
