Hearing
Hearing, listening to
the faded music in the other room
she crawls into bed
and lays her tears to the pillow
Pondering, thinking
as the raindrops pound the window like needles
no one knows nor understands her pain
she still is not happy, longing for something more
she pulls on a mask of happiness
just to face another day alone and scared
the feelings locked deep inside
the combination, a secret, no one ever to know
She's a magician, the trick goes over unnoticed
