Rhapsody No. 16
Can I feel my heartbeat when you are so far away?
If I see my hands, and you are not here,
How can I know they are mine?
You are my life, and you will be my death;
My whole world is yours, yours to take,
To keep, to cherish, to love forever,
Or to give back with scorn.
Your love is all that sustains me,
And your breath is the only air I can take.
You are a bright lantern to my lost ship,
You are a needed rest after a long journey;
I love you, and I can never stop,
Because I do not know what I am
Without you.
