the Sea
How our regards go out
When Fate crashes cruel waters
Upon the shores of our brothers
Finding sharp shells have shallowed from the deep
Cutting creves into our lives
Allowing blood to turn waters red
And harbor neither friend nor foe
Our ideas of how the world greets us
Thrown out the window and out of perspective
As seas withdraw
And we're left to ponder why us?
Has God turned a blind eye
Or have we brought this upon ourselves
Truly a retorical question
Which we must answer for ourselves.
