The diamond ice

that glitter-gleams
On this frigged morn,
Sparkles; thus

like fairy-lights,
The naked trees adorn.

The spear-head icicles that hang

like swords;
In wind they fall.
While silent sheets

of pure white snow
Fall gently over all.

The icy wind

that whispers through:
The frosty boughs do shake!
Oh chilly zephyr

of the north-
All quiver in your wake!

Jeez . . . I always seem to post such long comments without realizing it, lol. :)

Tess, you are epic! I've read this poem before, but it still astounds me! It's amazing, your wording, and all that! It really makes you feel like you are experiencing the calmness and whiteness of winter. (I'm using way to many exclamation marks, lol)You really have a great way with words.; keep writing (and poerying, if that's a word, which I doubt.)

5/5

And some advice: Poetry and Fiction pieces don't stay up very long in the "Newly Submitted" part of that, so not many people see your piece, no matter how good it is. I suggest going to the Fiction forum and making a "Review for Review" thread or posting in someone else's. That way you get lots more comments!
