Silent
Silent people pass,
low brimmed hats and lethal canes
tripping loud mouths don’t understand
in their bright colors
black-and-white hearts
secretly
silently
the bigger the blinder,
to what really matters.
Lips move fast
textured
zip-zip
like jackets
no one cares
because those people don’t even know
and words mean nothing anyways.
And then silence can eat us up
and spit us out
as shiny new people
who matter.
