Let Sleeping Dogs lie
Let sleeping dogs lie, spoken through ages past
Let us deny, what reaches across
Ignore anxious tidings, of what may come to pass
Let sleeping dogs lie, lest they be cross
Let sleeping dogs lie, let them torment
The hapless dreamers, the streamers you lent
Let sleeping dogs, all growl at them
While at the same time, you watch and you stand
Let sleeping dogs breathe down
Throats of the oppressed
Turning mere problems to
A cataract of regrets
Let lonely dogs
Genuflect to the morn’
Let them wish for a day
When they won’t be scorned
Let sleeping dogs, when they aggress
Tear to pieces the helpless
To sheer strands of flesh
Let the world turn
As kinsmen are bitten
Since foreigners are distant
And their voices intermittent
Let sleeping hearts suffer
Let sleeping dogs lie
To the nation that asks them
Why they didn’t try
Let sleeping dogs
Be awoken at last
No desperate words can
Save them,
from a public amassed.

Lie has a double meaning by the way.
