I would run between their lines
to see what they portray.

I would pack my bags and leave.
I would venture many miles
to see the make-believe.

I would learn each creative way.
I would bring my pen and paper
and alone there I would stay.

If I knew where poems came from
I would want no one to know.
I would keep this as my secret
Just to travel to and fro.

If I knew where poems came from
I would find my pieces too.
I would search for every stanza
To know my words are true.

I know where poems come from,
For I have been there many times.
I have seen the unique styles
And was inspired by all the rhymes.
