Endless Sound
Long streams of sound flow through the mind with poise
Forget a song in space and time today
Don’t think, but listen just for words and noise
We know, without a trace it goes away
We reach and grasp, but somehow always fail
Keep losing line by line, the process slow
You might recall a tone, so weak and frail
The rising, foul depression will plateau
You hear a line and take before you give
Don’t drift or close your eyes, you need to fight
In concept only, music still can live
A liar said, for always there is light
No, something as strong as sound can never leave
It’s what I thought you never would believe
