I'm a year older today!
O, the feeling is stronger
than a horse's love for open spaces.
But one thing strikes me as
a hurtful feeling this day.
Your not here to share this
day, with me, together.
I feel tears filling up my eyes
As i think at your passing day
When I was not with you.
Although you knew that the same
Star we looked upon the night
of your death, was a message
from me saying "I love you, forever."
To this day on my birthday
every morning I wake up and
watch that sunrise and I
know it's you saying "I love you too!"
