Guidance from an Angel
I love you, Aunt Lillabelle.
To me you mean so much.
My heart, my soul, my entire being:
All of these did you touch.
That fatal car wreck on December twenty-first
Stole you from my life.
What’s happening to this world?
It seems full of strife.
Do you know that I would have seen you
For a Christmas party that next day?
Now I fear I’ll never see you again,
For there’s only one way I may.
If I reach Heaven
When I die,
I will met you
Eye to eye.
Please watch over me;
Bind me to the Narrow Path.
Remind me to seek peace and joy
In this world full of wrath.
Tell Jesus I love Him
And thank Him for me.
He’s the Light of the World;
That’s easy to see.
The difficult thing
Is to reflect His love all the time.
That’s what I’m reminding myself to do
In this simple rhyme.
