Not So Perfect
The sun sets slowly,
A brilliant crimson hue across the horizon,
As another day ends.
There were the happy, carefree moments,
And there were the times
When everything was not so perfect.
The clock signals
Another hour passed.
I look out the window
And wonder how the whole day went by so fast.
The things that were supposed to be done that day
Are still waiting on my desk.
The dreams of yesterday are starting to look more unclear.
The sky darkens.
The glittering stars appear in the darkness of the night,
And I close my eyes,
To let everything drift away.
