Chinese New Years
Sounds of the firecrackers out my window
Aunts and uncles giving red envelopes to children
Containing two dollars
Hearing the reaction of the children of excitement
The house is decorated to keep in the good luck in
And is cleaned so there won’t be bad luck lurking
The whole family eating themselves full with delicious foods
Everyone wearing the traditional red
I could hear the television blaring Chinese shows
Celebrating the New Year
