The Deceiving Calm
The decieving calm
Floods the morning air
She chokes on her words
Not knowing what to say
She runs to hide from the pain
Never feeling so betrayed
Her heart pounds trying to escape
Trying to detach itself from the pain
They try telling her to be strong
She knows she's never been so weak
Sick to her stomach and ready to faint
She falls to the floor
To drown in her tears
I suppose this is the price
You have to pay for
Waring your heart on your sleeve
And putting your soul
In the hands of a thief
