Something Missing
December 31, 2011
Haunting chords drift to my ears.
A somber lament for something missing.
You cannot return.
Only I can go to you, once my journey is complete;
A journey that has now been made more difficult without you here.
I mourn along with other disheartened souls, too frightened to continue their journey.
But we make each other strong.
Though you cannot be replaced, we can accept something new.
We move on.
But the music never stops playing.
