A Heart
A heart...beating like a drum
Her breathing it begins to deepen
Like an echo in a cave
That pressure and that pain
As he scribbles notes onto the paper
As the doctor turns and sighs
He can see the sadness in your eyes
As he delivers you the news
Breast cancer is your case
Anguish buried in your face
By your skinny bone white fingers
Like an echo in a cave
That pressure and that pain
Loud noises from machines
Nightmares invade your dreams
Like an echo in a cave
That pressure and that pain
You pray and pray and pray
To a god who MUST be fake
The doctors all surround you
They say that they can't save you
The pain you feel inside
That sorrow you can't hide
You know inside your bleeding
Deep down you feel like screaming
...I'm only Seventeen...
