Our Little Secret Language
Our little secret language,
That no one else could understand.
The winks, the gestures,
The expressive faces, and unspoken words,
Signals we made up all those years ago.
Flashes of light, and magazine covers,
Expressing so much between our windows,
Yet all without a sound.
Who'd have thought that mere childhood games
Would now be our language for breaking all the rules?
Communicating break out plans,
And late night "I love you"s and "goodnights",
We just have to use our little secret language,
And no one else will understand.
Warnings of parents to invites over,
Tips for dinner manners to choosing his clothes,
Making plans with out silent little dance.
But most importantly just the little talks to show you care,
All in our secret little language,
That only we can understand.
