Swimming in the Deep

Swimming around in the deep ocean blue
My ship is anchored at large jutting rocks
My fins, snorkel, and mask are all brand new
The fish must think I look unorthodox.
I paddle to the craggy coral reef
A clown fish is in an anemone
A moray eel darts around like a thief
There’s a lionfish – Yikes! That’s not for me!
A Blue Damselfish is angry and bold
Queen Angelfish swimming silently by
The Yellow Tang is a sight to behold
The Moorish Idol is being quite shy.
A powerful whale goes into a breach,
That is my signal to head for the beach.
