My Eyes Are Tired
My eyes are tired.
My brain is weak.
With a drooping head
I try to but can't speak.
Emotions lost,
Can't seem to be found.
Slowly,
My feet leave the ground.
I'm trying so hard to stay awake,
But sleep is crawling around me.
I've tried so hard to run away,
But all my energy leaves me.
My feet won't move as I try to walk.
Exhaustion's overwhelming.
I drag along as I slip away
Into the middle of reality and dreaming.
I'm giving up now.
I'm giving in.
There's no more I can do now.
I'm coming to an end.
