The Time
When I was quit little I used to say
Why does my brother have to leave today
I watched my brother as he left me home
He would leave my parents who would start to moan
I was to small to even understand
Why he was packing and holding my hand
I just watched as he packed his favorite things
Humming a soft melody he would sing
he whispered to me keep this safe by you
Giving his silver dog tag I hold true
Not enough I hugged him so very tight
Leaving me there I knew it was not right
My brother that I will never forget
But he will be back I know it, I bet.
