In a Place Where the Sun Shines
In a place where the sun shines through a window barred with iron moonlight and steel hearts;
with candy canes and black licorice that create shadows of nightmares and damsels on the white wash walls;
he sits huddled in lovely bones and paper skin tied tight together with the chain of his despair;
falling, and falling, waiting and waiting for the sun to rise up into his mind to pervade his heartless wonder;
sunshined agony and heartshaped dreams where he will once again fade into the transparent wings;
flying away on wingless butterflies and pubescent nymphs leaving monochrome rainbows in their wake;
White walls; an empty easel for his Technicolor daydreams and imaginary playthings
