Falling
As I sit in this room.
The darkness becomes me.
Cement runs through my veins.
My absent thoughts
Of your smile...
Of dancing around in your arms...
But thats all gone now,
Your dead.
I can't make it on my own.
It was never enough.
Never enough
Of your affair with the bottle.
You never stoped,
Until your final breath was gone...
Spill my pitch black blood,
Unto these streets
of "oporrtunity".
I watch my hand fog the window.
Why did you leave me?
Why did you leave us?
Why did you give it all up?
Glass shatters...
My hand bleeds the scarlet red of your rose...
Glass shimmers like your eyes...
My heart screams for you alone...
Stepping over the windows edge,
Dear Lady Liberty
Catch me
You promised forever and always...
New York never sleeps...
Falling faster now
I need you
Reaching for things I can not grasp,
Twelve stories was never really that high...
Cold rushes through my veins,
My blood becoming ice
Your face parts the mid-night sky,
I touch you softly.
My dear love we're finally together.
