Mud
When you approach mud,
Don’t be afraid to take your shoes off
And feel its unique texture:
For it is squishy, slippery, and soft.
Mud is disliked by many,
Because if someone falls in it
It can ruin his or her day
But for many children, a place that's muddy
Is where they love to play.
They get very dirty and when they get home
Their parents ask in outrage:
"Look at you! Look at what you've done!"
The children reply in unison:
"We were just having good clean fun!"
