Blackberries
Blackberries grow in autumn
Along the prickly ridges
I stand, gazing across the valley
As the leaves fall to the ground
Lumps of dew in the morning grass
I squeeze my palms
Reveling in the beauty
Before the scene goes black
To the grasps of winter
And the blackberries fade until next September
