Forever and Always
Have you ever wondered what's worth fighting for,
when he first stepped through your door?
Does he take your breath away?
And you feel like your going to suffocate?
Does the price outweigh your pain, as you look into his eyes
and hear him crying out your name?
Would you stand up and fight?
Or would you rather lie down and die?
For us?
For you and I?
Have you ever wondered what's worth fighting for,
when I first stepped through your door?
Would you save my dying soul,
when I took the bullet that was meant for you,
and left your heart a big gaping hole?
Would you stand up and fight?
Or would you rather lie down and die?
For us?
For you and I?
You take me into your arms and silently cry.
I scream out in pain,
and your anger rages inside.
You stand up and fight for me,
for you and I,
You charge as I breathe my last breath.
Power surges through you, as you run to your death.
Would you stand up and fight?
Or would you rather lie down and die?
For us?
For you and I?
Energy seeps though your veins, as time turns bleak.
You stand there and say but out came a shriek.
Lightning crackles and shoots across the sky.
You step forward and look the monster in the eye.
Would you stand up and fight?
Or would you rather lie down and die?
For us?
For you and I?
Lightning shot though you.
Straight at him and he knew.
But a shot rang out and you hit the ground.
You look at me as your blood trickles down.
You reach out to grab hold,
but my hand is stiff and cold.
You stood up and fought.
But laid down and died.
You did for us.
You did for you and I.
With your last dying breath you say, I love you baby forever and always.
