The Most Precious Gift of All
As I begin to write and words flow from my pen,
I hope at this point your suicidal thoughts come to an end.
Don’t take the most precious gift that was given to you.
For you are ungrateful and negligent if you do.
The most important gift of all is that of life,
Something that should be loved, honored, cherished, and treated right.
You may be having hard times and everything bothers you,
But make wise decisions so your mistakes won’t haunt you.
You are special deep down inside,
Don’t take your life and leave your family members with feelings of subside.
If you feel like your life is coming to an end,
Pick up the phone and call a friend.
Confide in someone so that they can help you,
So that they won’t feel responsible for the things that only you and God knew.
They can help you get rid of the pain you feel inside,
So hopefully their love can save you this time.
I look to the God in the sky up above,
And ask him to take all your pain away and fill it with love.
I hope that this poem guides you to do right,
So you will love, honor, and cherish and not take away your life.
