Breaking of Dawn
We stand.
Ever nearer, heart beating fast.
The wet leaves leaving the casual yet
Provocative scent of grass lingering
On skin.
Captivating, full of excitement
New, dangerous and alive with energy
It awakens the senses and invokes
That strange, delicate sensuality
We sit.
The trees entwined, their leaves
Rustle in the passing breeze.
Confident and beautiful,
The everlasting youth of today
Sits and stares,
Not saying a word
We kiss
A demanding desire, a touch
That burns the skin
A soft tracing of lines
Sketched lightly onto faces
And a hand held fast throughout
The breaking of dawn
