A Girl Met a Boy

The cobblestones that lit her path
smarted beneath her feet
and sent her running and prancing,
skipping and dancing,
along her way
He walked on cool blue crystals that
crashed like waves ‘neath his feet
and left him calmly strolling and
lightly rolling as
each night turned day
Steam wet their skin as cool water
rushed into glowing coals
and left a pretty, carefree lass
to teach a boy so crass
how to play
