The Maimed
I tried to compare
Two people.
Two eyes,
Two hands,
Two feet-
They both seemed alike.
The culture,
The language,
The souls;
could not be understood-
Nothing is truly comparable.
Sameness.
It’s something I am told I should
want: Unattainable
Unrealistic
Unclear.
What can be gained from being
alike, I am not willing
to learn.
Normalcy and perfection cannot be found
here
nor there
nor anywhere.
Those who are perfectly normal shall cast their judgment.
Perfection is peerless.
The last perfect man was
crowned,
condemned and
killed.
One can only appear perfect among the maimed.
Yet- We are all maimed.
