Everyone Knows You
Everyone knows you…
Or likes to think they do
On the outside, you smile, you’re a social butterfly
On the inside, you cry, because you can’t take the pain
No one can understand what’s happened to you
You don’t understand yourself
Wishing you could stop the hurt, but you don’t know how
Fall inside of yourself, shut out the light
Open up to no one
They can’t hurt you then,
One day, you will shatter from all that you bottle up on the inside
Pick up the pieces from your broken heart.
Eventually they will come back together
But will never really heal.
So put back on your stunning, fake smile
And show everyone that you’re fine.
