"Some people say that I suffer from insanity. I don't. I enjoy every second of it."

The crow that guards
The lonely grave
And never sleeps
Was placed to stave
Off the odd
Passerby
With its sad
And deathly cry.

Who placed the crow
That guards the grave
Ask not the crow
Whose job it gave
It cares not
For 'who' or 'why'
But only for
Its deathly cry.

When we each
Go to the grave
And meet the crow
The black-winged knave
We will not be
Passersby
But still we'll hear
Its deathly cry.

The idea for this poem came to me when I heard two crows calling to each other outside my school. Their calls echoing off of the building made me shiver.
