Death's Lament
Even the petals have vanished
Of memorial tokens left by those who remember.
Even I have lost track of the time
Of the last living being who passed through here.
Even the inscribed letters of those lain down to rest, speak
Of a tongue I know not of.
Even I stand among a sea of faces,
Of which I can no longer recognize who they once were.
 And even I know that,
Of all these forgotten souls you will one day join them.
